About

Who publishes this, and how it's paid for

Last updated August 23, 2026

The Fiber Baseline is published by Baseline Media LLC, a small independent publisher registered in Delaware. We write general explainers about dietary fiber and digestion, and we recommend products that fit particular patterns.

How we make money

Affiliate commissions, and nothing else. When a reader buys a product through one of our links, the seller pays us a percentage. Your price is the same either way. We don't run display advertising, we don't take payment for placement, and we don't sell reader data. The full disclosure page spells out the mechanics.

It's worth naming the conflict this creates rather than pretending it doesn't exist: we earn more when you buy something. We manage that by keeping the education free-standing — the fiber basics and psyllium pages are useful whether or not you buy anything, and both point out when a supermarket product does the same job as a branded one.

What we are not

How we choose what to recommend

We favour products with a short, legible ingredient list, a stated dose, clear labelling of subscription terms, and a functioning refund policy. We avoid recommending anything that advertises a specific rate of weight loss, since that's not something a fiber supplement can honestly promise.
